Activities of the Research Laboratory of Pedagogical Competence

The Research Laboratory of Pedagogical Competence is based on the Pavel Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University (Order No. 01 of 02.01.2009), due to the urgency defined in the Law of Ukraine “On Education” and the high interest of the educational community in the problems of formation. professional competence of future teachers. Head of the Laboratory – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor V.V. Boychenko

The purpose of creation and activity of the research laboratory of pedagogical competence is:

• conducting thorough research on the outlined problem, providing education workers with up-to-date scientific information, didactic materials;
• organization of scientific-practical conferences, seminars, discussions, for exchange of experience of teachers of institutions of higher education;
• coordination of scientific activities of students, applicants, graduate students, doctoral students, exchange of research results.

The laboratory employs 30 scientists. Laboratory staff are working on the topic of joint scientific research “Formation of a competent teacher in the educational environment of a pedagogical higher educational institution” (registration number 0111U007536) for up to 12.2020 years.

On the basis of the research laboratory preliminary defenses of the dissertation researches on obtaining the scientific degree of the candidate and doctor of pedagogical sciences take place.

Every year in November, the All-Ukrainian Scientific-Practical Internet Conference “Topical Problems of the Modern Teacher’s Training: Theory, History, Practice” is held. The laboratory staff conducts scientific and practical seminars of the All-Ukrainian and regional level.

Within the framework of cooperation there is creative cooperation of the members of the department and laboratory with other educational institutions of Ukraine and their departments.

The staff of the laboratory conducts the First stage of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in Pedagogy, for several years in a row our students become the winners of the Second stage of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in Pedagogy.

The employees of the laboratory carry out publishing activities, the results of which are textbooks, monographs, scientific articles.

The laboratory is a living organism. In order to enhance the professional competence of future educators, students’ meetings with leading experts of the field, well-known scientists are systematically organized.

In the laboratory, students can get professional advice, help, advice. This is where practice conferences, briefings, etc. are held.
