All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Panteleimon Kulish – a life dedicated to enlightenment (to the 200th anniversary of his birth)”
On November 5, the All-Ukrainian Scientific-Practical Conference, “Conference of the Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference”, held on the basis of the Double Subordination Research Center of Pedagogical Regional Studies (Ministry of Education and Science and the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine) (Nadezhda Nikolaevna, PhD). committed to enlightenment (to the 200th birthday). “
The co-organizers were the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education (Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work, National Patriotic Camp for Student Youth “DIYA”), Faculty of Ukrainian Philology (Department of Ukrainian Literature, Ukrainian Studies and Methods of Teaching), Faculty of Foreign Studies and Teachers foreign languages).
P. Kulish (1819–1897) introduced biography to the participants of the conference Devileeneva Victoria, student of 45 group of faculty of social and psychological education, coordinator of camp “ACTION” of national-patriotic education for student youth
The peculiarities of depicting the national character of Ukrainians in P. Kulish’s creative heritage were revealed by Vitaly Kyrychenko, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Ukrainian Literature, Ukrainian Studies, and teaching methods.
The pedagogical and educational activity of Panteleimon Kulish was covered by Oleksana Kravchenko, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education.
Biletska Irina Alexandrovna, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages presented Panteleimon Kulish as one of the founders of adequate translation in Ukraine. Students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages Polyanchuk Anna, student of group 21, and Revnyuk Vladimir, student of group 41, who recited works by V. Shakespeare and J. Goethe translated by Panteleimon Kulish, joined the report.
Students of 32 groups of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education Oliynyk Yana, Fedorenko Darina, Cloud Veronica prepared a report “Panteleimon Kulish in the Statements of Prominent Ukrainians”.
Under the direction of Yushchenko’s Basement, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work, students of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education prepared a re-enactment of P. Kulish’s story “Orysia”.
All participants of the conference were unanimous in the conclusion that Panteleimon Kulish’s figure for the younger generation is a model for serving his native people, upholding national interests, a strong civic position, working for the benefit of the Ukrainian word and science.
