Of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, and since October 14, 2014 –
official state holiday – Defender of Ukraine Day!

It was under this theme that the thematic event of the students of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education at the UDPU Library was held, which was dedicated to the Day of Defender of Ukraine and the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks.
The purpose of the event was to build students’ interest in the historical past of the Ukrainian people, to cultivate moral qualities, a sense of patriotism.
The organizers of the event paid special attention to such tasks as: to nurture the memory of the heroes of national liberation competitions, courage and heroism of the modern defenders of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine – anti-terrorist operation, affirmation of ideals of freedom and democracy, preservation of historical memory of the fateful events in early twentieth-century Ukraine and promoting further patriotic spirit in student youth.
During the historical event, students gained new knowledge about the historical past of the Ukrainian people, honored the memory of the heroes of Ukraine.
