Mental Health Day
Recently, the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education celebrated World Mental Health Day, sponsored by the World Health Organization, the International Association for Suicide Prevention, and the International Organization for Global Mental Health. WHO defines mental health as a state of well-being in which a person exercises his or her abilities, can withstand ordinary life stresses, and contributes to society.
World Mental Health Day 2019 is a collaborative effort to prevent suicide. Nowadays, the need to assist young people in the formation of mental stability is becoming more and more important in order to be able to overcome modern life difficulties.
Thus, on October 10, a meeting of students of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education of the Uman State Pedagogical University named after Pavel Tychyna was held with Marchenko Kateryna Ivanivna, a pediatric psychiatrist at Uman City Hospital No. 2. The meeting was interesting and informative.
