Meeting in the management of labor and social protection of the population of the Uman City Council

On October 23, 2019, a meeting of the Youth Social Council was held in the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the population of the Uman City Council, which is an advisory public structure in the social protection system.

At the meeting, students of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education, listened to information about the implementation of the initiative “Community friendly to children and youth” in the city of Uman, various types of state social benefits, insurance and pension entitlements, and social scholarships.

As of 01.10.2019 in Uman, a social scholarship is paid to full-time students on a public order at state higher education institutions of the III-IV level of accreditation and higher educational institutions of the I-II level of accreditation, which are part of them, without the status of separate legal entities, and exactly:

– Uman State Pedagogical University. P. Tychyny – receive social scholarship of 417 students;

– Uman National University of Horticulture – receive a social scholarship of 119 students;

– VSP UNUS Agricultural College – receive a social scholarship of 66 students.

At the end of the meeting, the youth expressed their vision for improving the lives of children and youth in the city.
