Meeting with representatives of the Charity Service of the Holy Assumption Church in Uman

On February 25, the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education met with representatives of the Mercy Service of the Holy Assumption Church in Uman.

Archpriest Vadim Pajewski introduced students to the activities of the Charity Service, which began its work on March 1, 2011. Volunteers are actively involved in the work, among which a large part is student youth. He noted that the specificity of volunteerism is twofold: in helping us influence others, they in turn affect us.

During the meeting, students learned about the main areas of work of the Charity Service, namely: providing assistance to orphans and children deprived of parental care, assistance to the elderly, people in difficult life circumstances, persons with disabilities and other categories.

About the features of assistance to patients told students Svetlana Lugantseva. It is important to adjust the patient to overcome the disease, because it contributes to the development of human potential. She emphasized that patients especially need support and help, warm words, condolences.

Archpriest Vadim and Svetlana Nikolaevna invited students to join a joint activity to help those who need it, because from the drops of love the ocean of love is born.

Students receiving a specialty: Social work and specialty: Psychology, responded to the offer to join volunteer activities and to organize joint activities aimed at providing psychological and material assistance to different sections of the population.

Student involvement in volunteering is a good place to test your skills, skills and soft skills that are important to a successful career.
