Educational: introductory practice at the Center for Integrated Rehabilitation for Children with Disabilities “Snowdrop”
Within the framework of the educational: introductory practice students of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education visited a number of institutions providing social and rehabilitation services to residents of Uman and the district. One of these institutions was the Center for Integrated Rehabilitation for Children with Disabilities “Snowdrop” of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Uman City Council.
As part of the practice, students were able to learn that rehabilitation is carried out according to individual rehabilitation programs that meet the characteristics of each individual child.
Future social workers have learned a lot about what they need in their future professional activities. The students summarized: “It was a pleasure to hear teachers working with special children. They exemplified how to love children and instilled the belief that all children have equal opportunities.
Undoubtedly, the excursion contributed to the formation of students’ ideas about working with this category of children and helped to optimize the educational process by getting acquainted with the main directions of work in organizations engaged in social-pedagogical and psychological activities with children and youth, as well as with the peculiarities of professional activity, specialists work in these institutions.
