Political scientist-psychologist

Dear entrants !!! We invite you to study in the specialty “Psychology”. Upon graduation, graduates have a wide range of jobs for employment. Today we wanted to introduce you to the work of a psychologist in public-political organizations.

The activities of a political psychologist are related to such activities as coaching (training), counseling, conducting a political leader, image-management (creation of the necessary image of the policy), including psychotherapeutic counseling, psychocorrection of unwanted accentuation (manifestations of personality characteristics). For example, when applying for a policy in a PR agency, he can offer a program, one of which may be psychocorrection, work with nonverbalics (facial expressions, gestures), with a way, speech, etc. Successful politician is the man who won the election and who beat his rivals in the behind-the-scenes struggle, which assumed a huge responsibility.

Also, the activity of a psychologist in politics concerns the analysis of political attitudes of the population, which is already closer to sociology. The relevant objectives of this line are: a) correction of the projects considered in terms of their psychological literacy – ensuring that the projects did not lay unrealistic expectations, false notions about causal relationships in human behavior; b) psychologization of the decision-making process itself.

This profession has great prospects. Given the fact that in Ukraine the direction of political psychology is very young and developing rapidly, nobody will be left without work here. Despite the complexity of the work, it is quite interesting, multifaceted for inquisitive, creative people. New problems appear every four years.
