Practice – one of the important forms of organization of the educational process

For successful work in the chosen specialty, a modern young specialist, along with deep theoretical knowledge, must have the necessary skills and abilities for their effective application in practice. This is achieved through the practical training of higher education applicants in the learning process. Thus, practical training, along with training and independent work, is one of the important forms of organization of the educational process, on the quality of which depends on the competitiveness of graduates of educational institutions in the labor market.

Practical training of students at the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education is organized in accordance with the current regulatory documents.

Types of practices are differentiated by the curricula of the relevant educational and professional programs. At each course students go through a certain type of practice: educational: introductory, educational: vocationally oriented, educational: documentary, educational, industrial specialization, industrial, educational: social-psychological, industrial: in health camps, industrial: social-psychological : Diagnostic-psychocorrectional, trainee, managerial, research, pedagogical.

Practice involves acquiring a certain amount of knowledge, skills and competences in accordance with the content and tasks of the disciplines of the cycle of general and vocational training of each of the higher education levels.

Students who complete the elementary (short cycle) and first (bachelor) levels of higher education are sent to study in the first year: study practice. It is organized according to the pilot principle, which gives the opportunity to acquaint students with the activities of different types of institutions of social sphere. During the internship students learn about the peculiarities of professional activity of social professionals, social workers, social workers, psychologists and expand knowledge about the future profession.

General secondary education institutions, centers for social services for families, children and youth, services for children, rehabilitation centers, labor and social protection departments, departments for family and youth and other institutions are the basis for the various types of practice. social protection and social security.

The first year volunteer students participate in the work of the Leisure and Recreation Center for children of school age “Bavorgay”. It is a joint project of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Uman City Council and the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education of the Uman State Pedagogical University named after Pavel Tychyna. In the summer, students organize leisure activities for children aged 6-17 years in the sports and playgrounds of residential districts, in squares and parks. The activities of students are aimed at creating the necessary conditions for meaningful recreation, interesting leisure, forming a healthy lifestyle, creative and spiritual development of school-age children in the holidays. Students conduct dating exercises, relay races, competitions, intellectual games, quests, drawing contests, and more.

Within the framework of signing agreements on cooperation between the Uman State Pedagogical University named after Pavel Tychyna and recreation and recreation establishments, students of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education have the opportunity to practice in the best institutions of Ukraine, namely: the state enterprise “Ukrainian Children’s Center” Young Guard ” Odessa), the state enterprise “International Children’s Center” Artek “(Kyiv, Pushcha-vodytsia, 14th line), children’s camp” Bukovel “(Yaremche, Ivano-Frankivsk region), LLC” Cultural-Ozd snowdrop center (Kozyn town, Obukhiv district, Kyiv region (Koncha-Zaspa district)), Constellation constituency of Tavriya (Skadovsk, Kherson region), children’s health institution “Brigantina” Novoarchangelsk, Kirovohrad region), Lviv Polytechnic – 2 (Slavske township, Lviv region), camps “Mysteries of civilization” (Transcarpathian region, Mukachevo district, Chinadiyevo village) and others.

At the end of the internship, there is a defense where students have the opportunity to share their impressions of the internship, to analyze what they were able to implement, to indicate what they experienced difficulties, to discuss issues that arose during the implementation of the internship program.

In order to improve professional skills, a festival of creativity of future teacher-organizers was held at the faculty, which involved students of 2 year and those higher education graduates who passed the practice in health and recreation establishments.

The fulfillment of the objectives of the program of practice makes it possible to verify the correct choice of profession. The practice, as the students point out, gives them the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in working with different categories of the population, and calls for the desire to learn even more and to improve their skills and abilities.
