First-year students pay tribute to memory – Vasily Sukhomlinsky
For the seventh consecutive year, the first-year students of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education, together with the teachers of the departments, gathered to pay their respects to the memory of the Person and Teacher of the capital – Vasily Sukhomlinsky. This year the journey to the immortal source of pedagogical wisdom of the scientist, teacher, humanist, educator, benefactor took place within the framework of the scientific-methodical seminar “V. O. Sukhomlinsky in Dialogue with Modernity ”(moderators of the seminar – Tkachuk LV and Tkachuk MM – associate professors of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management).
Prior to the beginning of the seminar, its participants were able to get acquainted with the thematic exhibition organized by the University Scientific Library. It presented the works of VO Sukhomlinsky, the memoirs of his contemporaries, the works of scientists, materials of the International scientific-practical conferences and All-Ukrainian pedagogical readings, issues of the «Bulletin of the scientific laboratory« V. O. Sukhomlinsky and the School of the 21st Century »of our University
The film Sun of Sukhomlinsky, which was watched by the participants of the seminar, did not leave any indifference.

Participants of the seminar noted that one of the greatest merits of VO Sukhomlinsky before national and world pedagogy is that he was able to rise to the child and thanks to this, the school became a real Temple of the Children’s Soul, where the personality was placed in the center of attention and activity. the child, its future, its all-round development, high ideals, pure noble heart.
He is a prominent teacher and writer, he was and is, and for many years he will be the light of Ukrainian pedagogy. He, together with us, revives the spirit of the people and builds an independent Ukraine. Therefore, the scientific analysis and objective assessment of the experience of Sukhomlin accumulated by V.O.
