FSPO Students Participate in Key Community Advocacy Training in the Context of Responding to HIV in Ukraine

On September 26, the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education, together with the public organization LGBT Association “LIGA”, held a training for students of the faculty “Advocacy of the rights of key communities in the framework of the HIV response in Ukraine” for the students of the faculty.
The Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Natalya Levchenko, made the welcoming speech.
The event was coached by Tereshchuk Ivan – Head of the regional MSM component of the PITCH advocacy project (Partnership for Inspiration, Transformation and Integration of HIV / AIDS) and Public Relations and Press Specialist of LIGA LGBT Association.

An important focus of the training was the involvement of social workers in building a public health system and employment in the public sector.

Students gained a wealth of useful knowledge and new skills
“To be honest, it was difficult at first, because I had never participated in trainings, and the topic was not easy. But it was fun and at some points fun. Very practical tasks. In general, you guys and I would have great pleasure to visit some more trainings. ” – comments one of the participants of the event.
