Participation in a scientific-practical seminar “Modern pedagogical technologies and forms of educational work with children in educational institutions”

On November 6-7, 2019, a scientific-practical seminar “Modern pedagogical technologies and forms of educational work with children in educational institutions” was held in the Uman State Pedagogical University named after Pavel Tychyna in cooperation with the state enterprise “Ukrainian Children’s Center” Young Guard “. Students of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education took an active part in the seminar.

Thanks to the Quality Fair, held by the representatives of the Young Guard camp, students learned what the requirements were for the organizing teacher. In particular, attention was paid to such qualities as activity, adaptability, responsibility, confidence, commitment, endurance, attentiveness, friendliness and erudition.

Then the students joined in the exercises for acquaintance, rallying the children’s team, learning to choose an asset. These skills will be useful to students in the future when working with different categories of population. Using the Brownian Movement technique, participants learned to pair, group, and team.

The second stage of the practical program of the seminar involved working in teams, where students learned to work on creating a team name, motto, song. The competitive spirit of the team was demonstrated on the playground during the intellectual marathon “I know everything”.

The second day of the game program began with a presentation of the homework the teams received the day before. During the assignment, students demonstrated teamwork and the ability to interact with the audience.

Team pedagogical kaleidoscope was facilitated by team unity, formation of the ability to distribute responsibilities, responsibility for the task, and creativity.

The participants of the seminar were also given an opportunity to get acquainted with the organizational principles of functioning of the All-Ukrainian school of teacher-organizer. Students were invited to take a distance learning course.

I am convinced that the knowledge, skills and knowledge acquired by the students of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education during their participation in the scientific-practical seminar will be a good basis for the formation of professional competence.
