Qualitative education is impossible without a qualified faculty
The Faculty of Social and Psychological Education has a strong scientific and technical base. There are 4 scientific schools at the Faculty: Doctor of Sciences (Engineering), Professor Kobernyk, OM, Doctor of Engineering, Professor Kochubey, TD, Doctor of Science, Professor Kolyada NM. and Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Safina OD
In order to develop special skills of future social pedagogues to work with persons with disabilities, the Faculty operates a Center for Social and Educational Integration and Inclusive Rehabilitation and Social Tourism “No Barriers” (Head – teacher of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work AND.).
Also, in order to improve the preparation of future social pedagogues for specialized training in social sphere institutions at different levels, the School of Social Knowledge operates at the Faculty (Head – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Bondarenko GV).
As well as functioning, the scientific and methodological center of professional development of teachers is aimed at the development of scientific creativity, professionalism and professional competence of scientific and pedagogical workers (Head – Doctor of Ped. Sciences, Professor Kobernyk OM).
Also, the Faculty has a scientific and practical center for family education (Head – Candidate of Science (Pedagogy), Associate Professor VM Polekhina).
An integral part of building a modern democratic tolerant society is the implementation of the principle of gender equality in all spheres of life, including education, so the Gender Center operates at the faculty (Head – Doctor of Science, Associate Professor, O. Kravchenko) .
The newly created START Youth Center (Leader – Natalia Levchenko). The Center is a joint project of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education and the Department of Youth Affairs of the Uman City Council.
Students in 48 research groups and problem groups were involved in the research work. The topic of student research was presented in the context of the scientific topics of the departments and research works.
The students of the faculty are active participants in the All-Ukrainian competitions of scientific works, student competitions, where they constantly certify the high educational and methodological and scientific level of training of specialists, receiving victories and prizes.
During the year, the Faculty held a number of events at different levels.
In particular, scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management together with foreign co-organizers organized and held 3 International scientific and practical conferences.
All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conferences were also held
Faculty faculty members publish monographs, textbooks, tutorials, articles in publications included in the International Scientometric Databases Web of Science and Scopus, articles in publications included in the International Scientometric Database Index Copernicus.
