Participation in the project “Overcoming Crisis and Building Ukraine – Time for Action!”
In August-September 2019, in the city of Ternopil, associate professor of the Department of Psychology, Dmitryarenko Svitlana Yurievna, took part in a training course for practicing psychologists, employees of psychological centers, public and humanitarian organizations within the framework of the project “Overcoming the Crisis and Building Ukraine – Time to Act!” in the area of psychological recovery for people affected by the armed conflict in the east. Participants had the opportunity to gain advanced knowledge and practical skills in psychological support, recovery and return to peaceful civilian life of victims, and their further integration into the community.
The training course consisted of two three-day trainings, which are logically interconnected. The first component training component focuses on mental health and psychosocial emergency support in accordance with IASC standards, second training on first aid and crisis intervention.
