Training from Amnesty International.

On July 6 and 7, a training on activism from Amnesty International was held in Kyiv.
Amnesty International is a non-governmental organization based in the United Kingdom in 1961, which aims to “conduct research and actions aimed at preventing and suppressing gross violations of human rights, as well as helping those whose rights have already been violated.”
The participants of the training were representatives of NGOs, teachers and students who only joined activism from different regions of Ukraine. In particular, the student of our faculty is Kompaniets Nikolay.
During the training participants received:

  • information about different types, practices, tools of activism;
  • ability to deal with their own motivation, preferences and goals;
  • opportunity to try in activism;
  • experience, impressions and thoughts of people involved in activism;
  • new acquaintances with organizations, initiatives and people who are also interested in activism and want to be involved with it.

The trainer during the two days of the training was Lesya Kharchenko.
Also spokes were:
Daryna Mizina, who works in the field of SMM for Amnesty International and Gender in detail;
Alina Sernatska is a human rights defender, activist, representing a community of sex workers;
Olha Vesnianka is a human rights defender, mediatracer, radio broadcaster on the Roman Radio Chiriklo and RadioHayat;
Daryna Brykaylo is an activist, one of the founders of Soul Sisters, a space for royal education and support;
Oksana Pokalchuk – Executive Director of Amnesty International Ukraine.
