Meeting of the Council on the development and support of volunteerism

February 9, 2016 in the management of labor and social protection of the meeting of Coordination Council on development and support of volunteerism with the participation of Chairman of the Board, Director of Labour and Social Welfare Galina Kucher, Advisory Board, composed of representatives of the Department of Labor and Social Protection population, department of education, department of family and youth, city of the Red Cross, the Council of war and labor veterans, representatives of voluntary organizations Uman state pedagogical University, medical College of Humanities and teacher’s College, heads of public organizations of disabled persons and volunteer centers.

Opened the meeting of the Coordination Council, Head of the Labour and Social Welfare Galina Kucher, who brought the audience about the main provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On voluntary activities.”

Deputy Head of Svitlana Melnyk reported on cooperation department of labor and social protection of volunteer organizations.

Head of education Oksana Melnyk told about the directions of volunteerism in schools.

The representatives of higher education institutions, who spoke about the activities of volunteer groups.

The representative of our University was a lecturer in psychology, coordinator of the national-patriotic camp “action” Marian Vyacheslavovna Stepanov, who familiarized those present with innovative forms of work as student social and psychiatric services; Centre for Social and Educational Integration “Without Barriers”; The national-patriotic camp for students “action”, implemented at the Faculty of Social and psychological education.

The discussion joined by representatives of public organizations of disabled people, volunteer units.

During the meeting elaborated proposals on providing genuine assistance to military personnel who are serving in the areas of anti-terrorist operations.
